Vancouver Town

Thanks to its 2.6 million inhabitants, the Vancouver metro area is the biggest one from Western Canada and it ranks third in the entire country. Vancouver can be found in the British Columbia region, in an area which is quite beautiful, thanks to its majestic scenery and its location, between the Pacific Ocean and the Cost Mountains. It’s a great city to visit and it’s considered a very good city to live in.

One of the reasons why you should visit Vancouver is because its great scenic beauty and all the things you can do while you’re there. There aren’t many places in the world which allow you to do ocean windsurfing, mountain skiing or playing golf and all in the same place. The city has water on three out of four sides and the fourth has mountains. Besides the many things you can do while you’re in the city, you also have the chance to do plenty of outdoor activities.

The city of Vancouver is split in three different parts: downtown, Eastside and Westside. The part which is west from Ontario Street is known as Westside, while everything east is known as Eastside. The part which is to the north from False Creek is the downtown. You should try to visit all three parts of the city if you have the time, since they all have their own neighborhoods and attractions for you to check out.

The downtown area has many of the high end hotels, restaurants and attractions of the city, as well as some of the best architecture and shopping opportunities. There are four beaches here in total.

The Westside area is interesting thanks to the beaches, museums, art scene, gardens and the Granville Island markets.

As for the Eastside, this is residential for the most part and you will find here more ethnic restaurants, as well as a decent art scene.
